Plains Area Mental Health Inc. is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our Cherokee team and help individuals and families receive compassionate mental health services regardless of insurance status or life circumstances. As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) our mission is to provide accessible high-quality care while supporting every persons dignity growth and recovery.

What Youll Do

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and diagnostic interviews for children and adults.
• Develop treatment plans and provide outpatient individual counseling.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers case managers peer support specialists and other members of our multidisciplinary care team.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide emergency behavioral health services when appropriate.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (additional compensation provided).
• Provide clinical supervision hours for temporary licensed clinicians pursuing full licensure.

Qualifications

Required

• Masters Degree (MA MS or MSW)
• Iowa LMHC LISW or LMFT licensure
• Valid Iowa drivers license and insurance

Preferred

• Bilingual skills ($3000 annual differential)
