Licensed Social Worker

As a Licensed Social Worker at New Story Schools you will provide counseling case management and crisis support to help students navigate behavioral academic personal and social challenges. Youll build meaningful relationships with students and families collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and provide individualized support that helps students make progress toward their goals.

What Youll Need

• Active Licensed Social Worker (LSW) credential

• Experience providing counseling or related services to children or adolescents

• Knowledge of education regulations behavior modification techniques and mental health services and supports

• Strong communication problem-solving organizational and relationship-building skills

• Ability to complete required professional training and maintain applicable licensure and certifications

What Youll Do

• Provide individual and group counseling case management crisis intervention and individualized support based on student needs and goals

• Support student intake goal setting progress reviews transition and discharge planning and ongoing communication with families and school partners

• Maintain timely accurate documentation of counseling services student progress interventions communications and required reports

• Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to address attendance academics behavior social-emotional development and transition needs

• Respond to behavioral and mental health needs using appropriate de-escalation crisis-response referral and safety procedures while maintaining a structured supportive environment
