Job Summary
Licensed School-Based Counselor needed for full-time temporary position in Montgomery County.
The School-Based Counselor/Social Worker provides counseling mental health case management and trauma-informed services to students with significant and complex needs. Responsibilities include individual group and family counseling; case management; crisis and behavioral support; participation in IEP evaluations and meetings; and connecting students and families with appropriate community resources.
The position works closely with students families teachers school administrators and community providers to address social-emotional behavioral and educational needs. The role also provides consultation and support to school staff regarding student behavior and trauma-informed practices.
