Job Summary

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Syracuse NY
Type: Contract 14 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM 5 Days Per Week 40 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Syracuse NY.

Responsibilities

  • Implement direct nursing care activities under the direction of the primary or associate nurse.

  • Greet patients escort them to exam rooms obtain vital signs and prepare them for examinations.

  • Assist physicians during exams and clinical procedures.

  • Prepare injection trays administer injections and support patient treatments.

  • Observe document and report patient progress and responses to treatment.

  • Coordinate referrals and communicate with primary care physicians as needed.

  • Obtain prior authorizations for procedures therapies and diagnostic testing.

  • Support appointment scheduling reception activities and chart preparation.

  • Maintain exam room cleanliness organization and supply inventory.

  • Participate in daily nursing unit operations and patient care activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.

  • Current and valid New York State (NYS) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License.

  • Active CPR Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.

  • Minimum one (1) year of professional nursing experience required.

  • Strong patient care communication and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous inpatient or acute care experience.

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

  • Experience assisting with clinical procedures and patient assessments.
