EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Per diem Varies

SCHEDULED HOURS: Saturdays 5:30AM-12:00PM other days as available

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Pathways Opiate Treatment Program

Pathways is an accredited Opiate Treatment Program specializing in Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) exclusively using methadone. Our comprehensive approach includes:

  • Individual and group therapy
  • Psycho-educational groups

  • Recovery coaching and harm reduction services
  • Ongoing assessments and referrals

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer daily MAT (including methadone and buprenorphine) in accordance with physician/APRN orders and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and dispense individual doses ensuring accuracy and adherence to chain-of-custody procedures.
  • Safely transport and secure controlled medications between CHR OTP clinics mobile clinics and correctional facilities in compliance with policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor patient response to treatment including conducting assessments and observing for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Conduct and monitor toxicology screens.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) consistent with program and agency standards.
  • Manage medication inventory including ordering restocking and reconciliation in compliance with CHR and regulatory requirements (DPH DMHAS DEA Joint Commission).
  • Communicate effectively with prescribers clinical team members and DOC staff regarding patient care progress and safety issues.
  • Participate in team meetings supervision trainings and other required activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all DOC CHR and regulatory safety/security protocols.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Per diem LPNs/RNs are required to provide coverage for at least one (1) weekend per month and two (2) holidays per calendar year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Degree/Certification in nursing or in a related health care field preferred.

Experience: none required

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current RN or LPN license in the State of Connecticut required Certification in CPR and must have a valid drivers license.

COMPENSATION*:

$30/hour
