Licensed Practical Nurse

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinical at Montrose VA Medical Center in Montrose New York.This contract position offers:

Education and Experience:

The Family Medicine Licensed Practical Nursewill have the following requirements:

• Must be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident or alien authorized to work in the US
• Shall have and maintain a current full active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any one of the 50 states the District of Columbia the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines. Additionally must provide proof of documented training from the National Foundation for Integrative Medicine (NFIM) or a similar accredited body.
• Graduate from an accredited community college junior college college or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency; and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Two years of practical or vocational nurse experience in an outpatient setting within the past 3 years. Experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols within the LVN scope of practice.
