Location: Eureka Kansas
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM 6:00 AM)
Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an immediate start in a skilled nursing facility. The LPN will provide direct resident care during night shifts often working as the sole nurse on duty ensuring safe accurate and compassionate care delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

  • Monitor resident conditions and report changes promptly

  • Maintain accurate documentation using Point Click Care (PCC)

  • Supervise and support nursing assistants during shift

  • Perform clinical procedures including wound care catheter care and specimen collection

  • Record and monitor vital signs (BP TPR etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards

  • Manage resident care independently during night shift coverage

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team and leadership

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Active LPN License (Kansas or compact license)

  • Graduation from an approved LPN program

  • BLS/CPR Certification required

  • IV Certification preferred

  • Strong ability to work independently in low-staffing environment

  • Prior long-term care experience preferred

  • Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills

Work Schedule
  • 36 hours one week / 48 hours next week (rotating block schedule)

  • 12-hour night shifts (6 PM 6 AM)

  • Every other weekend required

  • ASAP Start Required (prior to 05/23 preferred)

  • Facility Census: 45 residents
