As a School Licensed Practical Nurse you will:

• Provide skilled nursing care to students under the supervision of a Registered Nurse physician or advanced practice provider.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.

• Monitor and document student health status and medication responses.

• Perform nursing procedures including:

  • Wound care and sterile dressing changes

  • Catheterization

  • Tube feedings

  • Oxygen therapy

  • Diabetic care

  • Range of motion therapy

  • Pre- and post-procedure care

• Assist students with activities that promote:

  • Daily living skills

  • Social development

  • Recreational participation

  • Reality orientation when appropriate

• Maintain accurate documentation and health records.

• Communicate effectively with school personnel parents and healthcare providers.

• Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Deliver compassionate culturally competent and age-appropriate care.

• Follow all ATC Healthcare policies procedures and school district guidelines.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.

• Current unrestricted LPN license in the state of New York.

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience within the past three years.

• Current CPR/BLS certification required.

• Ability to pass required background and drug screening.

• Employment physical may be required based on assignment.

• Excellent communication organizational and interpersonal skills.

• Pediatric school nursing or behavioral health experience is a plus.

• School-based assignments throughout Duval County and surrounding areas.
• MondayFriday schedules available.
