We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate medical care and support for individuals in our mental health and/or substance abuse treatment facility. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN or physician administering medications monitoring client health and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including health monitoring and medication administration.
- Conduct routine assessments of clients physical and mental health conditions.
- Assist with withdrawal management and monitor symptoms in clients undergoing detox (if applicable).
- Document patient progress medication administration and any changes in condition accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with the treatment team including RNs physicians therapists and case managers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Educate clients and families on medications treatment plans and overall health and wellness.
- Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies and provide necessary interventions.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies infection control procedures and state and federal healthcare regulations.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid LPN license in the State of Ohio (required).
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
- Experience in mental health substance abuse or behavioral health settings preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment crisis intervention and medication management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication organizational and documentation skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a detox psychiatric or residential treatment setting.
- Knowledge of behavioral health and substance use treatment protocols.
Compensation: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
