Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a 13-week travel assignment supporting the Oncology Clinic at Atlanta Cancer Care in Canton Georgia. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working within the specialty strong clinical skills and the ability to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to oncology patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.
Perform patient assessments vital signs medication administration and treatment support.
Assist with patient education regarding medications procedures and treatment plans.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Coordinate care with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals.
Maintain compliance with infection control and patient safety standards.
Ensure a compassionate and supportive experience for patients and their families.
Required Qualifications
Active LPN/LVN license in the State of Georgia (or compact license if applicable).
Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the specialty.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Previous travel nursing experience required.
Strong clinical assessment communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an outpatient oncology setting.
Assignment Details
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: 8-Hour Days
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
On-Call: None
Floating: Optional
Billing Cycle: Biweekly
Additional Requirements
Travel candidates only (local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible).
Compliance requirements must be completed by the Wednesday prior to the assignment start date.
