Job Summary

Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Location: Vestal NY 13850
Duration: 16 Weeks
Shifts: 2:45 PM 11:15 PM (Evening) /11:45 PM - 07:15 AM(Night)

Compensation

  • From $1100/week (Local Candidates)
  • Upto$1470/week (For Traveler Candidates)

Position Summary:We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting. The LPN will support the healthcare team by delivering compassionate nursing care monitoring patient conditions and assisting residents with daily living activities while ensuring compliance with care plans and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor and record vital signs pain levels and overall patient condition
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing feeding and toileting
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes
  • Insert and maintain catheters feeding tubes and IVs (as permitted by scope of practice)
  • Observe and report changes in residents physical or mental status to RN or physician
  • Accurately document patient care in EMR systems
  • Assist with rehabilitation and restorative nursing care plans
  • Respond to emergency situations such as falls or sudden illness
  • Educate residents and families on medications treatments and care plans
  • Maintain infection control and safety standards

Required Qualifications

Licensure & Certification

  • Active New York State LPN License
  • Current BLS (AHA) Certification

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum 1 year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience preferred
  • Candidates with recent experience in rehab med-surg or hospital settings will also be considered

  • Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
  • Knowledge of infection control and patient safety protocols
