Traveler Pay: $39 $42/hr (Based on Experience)
Local Pay: $34 $37/hr (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a busy outpatient clinical team. The LPN will provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and Registered Nurses assisting with clinical procedures patient assessments medication administration and overall patient support. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills excellent communication abilities and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
Patient Care
Provide direct patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols and nursing standards.
Obtain and accurately document patient vital signs including blood pressure pulse temperature respiration height and weight.
Assist healthcare providers during examinations treatments and minor procedures.
Administer medications injections and treatments as prescribed by authorized providers.
Perform basic clinical procedures including wound care dressing changes specimen collection and patient preparation.
Clinical Support
Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and medical procedures.
Assist with patient education regarding medications treatments and follow-up care.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report significant changes to the supervising provider.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Support clinic workflow and patient throughput while maintaining quality standards.
Participate in staff meetings training and quality improvement initiatives as required.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to infection prevention safety and confidentiality guidelines.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies state regulations and professional nursing standards.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical supplies and specimens.
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
Licensure & Certifications
Current Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Compact State LPN license required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of recent LPN experience within the applicable specialty required.
Experience in a clinic outpatient or ambulatory care setting preferred.
Required Skills
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills.
Medication administration and injection experience.
Knowledge of basic clinical procedures and patient preparation techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong documentation and organizational skills.
