Job Summary
Location: Syracuse NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights 6 x 12-Hour Shifts Biweekly
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every Other Weekend and Some Holidays Required
- Traveler Pay: $65$70/hr based on experience
- Local Pay: $40$47/hr based on experience
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Emergency Department (ED) and/or Pediatric Emergency Department experience to provide high-quality patient care within a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in IV placement phlebotomy and patient-centered care while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Perform patient care functions in an acute care emergency setting with minimal orientation and supervision
- Assist with IV placement and phlebotomy procedures
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with physicians nurses patients and families to support quality patient care
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records
- Deliver compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED/Pediatric ED environment
- Support patient safety infection prevention and facility protocols
- Assist with treatments procedures and routine nursing care as directed
- Communicate effectively with patients families and interdisciplinary staff
- Current New York State LPN License
- Current CPR Certification required
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience required
- Emergency Department and/or Pediatric ED experience preferred
- Prior inpatient experience preferred
- Experience with IV placement and phlebotomy required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clinical and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within healthcare teams
