Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality patient care in long-term care rehabilitation acute care nursing home and home health settings. The ideal candidate is dedicated to ensuring patient comfort safety and well-being while assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing dressing grooming toileting feeding and transferring.
- Measure and accurately record patients vital signs.
- Assist patients with ambulation mobility and proper body positioning.
- Observe patients and promptly report changes in condition or abnormal findings to the supervising nurse.
- Notify the supervising nurse immediately when a patient reports pain.
- Maintain patient safety by following established care plans and infection control procedures.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Assist with oral hygiene skin care nail care and foot care.
- Follow facility policies procedures and regulatory guidelines.
- Report to assigned facilities on time and prepared for scheduled shifts.
- Wear required identification and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising nurse or facility management.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification for the state of employment (if required).
- Compassionate dependable and patient-focused attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Knowledge of infection prevention and patient safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to push pull move and/or lift up to 80 pounds.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (25 hours at a time).
- Ability to work in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases bloodborne pathogens chemicals and other healthcare-related hazards.
