Licensed Journeyman Plumber Part Time (DOE G) Schedule is Saturday 200p

EMCOR Government Services is looking for a Licensed Journeyman Plumber - Part Time inGermantown MD. The schedule is Saturday 2:00pm 10:00pm. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.

• Assemble install maintain and pressure test all pipes fittings and fixtures of heating water drainage sprinkler and gas systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
• Determine sources of plumbing malfunctions and complete repairs as indicated or according to work orders.
• Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures.
• Install and repair pipes fittings valves fixtures and plumbing system equipment including sinks commodes water heaters water softeners etc.; install supports and hangers for pipe fixtures and equipment.
• Read blueprints drawings and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems water supply networks and waste and drainage systems.
• Plan install and service plumbing systems fixtures piping equipment and controls test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks.
• Receive and complete work orders assigned
• Select material and hardware and make time and materials estimates.
• Maintain accurate records on material and labor used.
• Maintain inventory of district-owned tools equipment and materials.
• Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
• Work with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.
• Detect needed repairs on buildings grounds and equipment following established inspection procedures.

• Journeyman Plumbers License required.
• Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain an L level security clearance.
• Preferred 6 years experience in plumbing.
• Preferred 2 years with journeyman plumbing and gas license.
• Extensive knowledge with practical experience in commercial plumbing systems and equipment
• Candidate must be able to communicate efficiently and effectively with customers coordinators and management.
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft office suites.
• Working knowledge with the use of CMMS system Maximo.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand or walk for extended periods; use hands to finger handle; or feel; reach with hands and arms; talks or hear and test or smell. • Must be able to climb balance stoop kneel crouch reach and handle
• All of these requirements are necessary for using ladders and stairs cleaning low areas high areas benches and corners
• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds and push/pull 50 pounds in order to clean work areas and handle supplies and equipment

• Work in conditions that will create dirt and dust.
