Licensed Fire Sprinkler Inspector Bozeman MT

The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled inspections in both residential and commercial spaces. Knowledge of multiple manufacturers products is a plus. Duties also include testing and inspection of backflows fire pumps extinguishers and emergency lighting. We have a need for a self-motivated customer service-oriented Inspector with strong written and verbal communication skills. The Inspector will provide accurate and detailed inspection reports with all proper documentation of improvements and complications.

Licensed and trained fire sprinkler inspector will receive a work truck for travel to job sites. Backflow testing certification is a requirement of the job if not already certified.

The starting salary range for this position is $70000-$85000 depending on experience and certifications.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating with minimal supervision while performing fire protection inspections
• Perform routine inspections testing and services of life safety product lines
• Daily communications with Inspections Manager and Administrator on inspection delays requirements and general status of job
• Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner
• Work with Inspections Manager and Office Administrative Staff to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two years of experience in the fire protection industry and license for fire extinguishing systems
• Possess an understanding of NFPA 25 and fire codes
• Willing to communicate effectively; both verbally and written
• Possess a valid drivers license; in accordance with Company policy
• Willing to pass a post-offer drug test and background check
• Backflow certification is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Regular bending reaching climbing and walking
