PURPOSE:The Jewish Boards Community Behavioral Health treatment programs provide compassionate high quality evidence-based services to individuals and families in the communities we serve. Our staff use a culturally affirming person centered approach to help individuals and their families develop skills and resources to improve overall functioning to instill hope and to strengthen resiliency. Our programs work closely with community partners to address health disparities in our neighborhoods while also celebrating the strengths and resilience of our OVERVIEW:This position provides clinical services as part of an OMH licensed outpatient mental health clinic/ CCBHC location interventions include but are not limited to evaluations; individual group and/or family therapy; case management; and crisis interventions. Must live within the United States and have a valid NYS State Licensed. KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Conduct comprehensive evaluations/ intakes as treatment plans in collaboration with clients to identify treatment needs and interventions and review/revise treatment plans to reflect clients treatment progress and changing problems/ individual group family and crisis with families schools criminal justice and other community agencies to coordinate linkages as driven by screenings and client identified needs to embedded care coordination SUD services nursing psychiatric and medical in clinical meetings staff meetings trainings and all documentation according to the standards and time limits established by the Jewish Board regulatory agencies and/or funding professional behaviors and ethical standards as established by licensing board relevant professional association and the Jewish Board policies and required participation agency training in evidenced based models (such as CBT/MI) applicable to continuing education credit duties as COMPETENCIES for the position include:Able to engage with clients and explore clients emotions life events and the resources they can use to overcome any of the challenges they may in clinical risk assessment and providing trauma informed culturally sensitive therapeutic time management skills to ensure timely client care and subsequent clinical group dynamics and can effectively lead clinical group clinical assessments to drive an active and steady caseloadEDUCATIONAL / TRAINING REQUIREDMasters degree in counseling creative arts or social work from an accredited program AND aNew York State License in Mental Health Counseling (LMHC); Creative Arts Therapy (LCAT) or social work (LMSW/LCSW) REQUIRED / LANGUAGE PREFERENCE:A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience is treating children or adolescents is preferred.
