- This position is full-time following a first shift schedule 40 hours per week scheduled Monday - Friday schedule between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with the potential for telework.
- As a License and Applications Analyst you will assist in the administration of licensure certification and/or permitting functions.
- You will review evaluate and analyze factors and incidents impacting on regulatory responsibility including applications for licensure certification and proper permit authority for compliance to relevant agency statutes regulations policies procedures and practices.
- In this role you will process initial and renewal applications respond to mail telephone and personal inquiries from consumers governmental agencies interested parties requesting information concerning entities regulated by department.
- You will also explain regulatory laws and agency regulations to applicants licensees and consumers as well as conduct research collect data and analyze information relating to application review process.
- The License and Applications Analyst will provide technical assistance to clerical staff and authorize issuance of licenses permits and/or certifications.
- You may also participate in public hearings concerning issuance revocation or amendment of certificates licenses or permits and may review documents and related materials for criminal convictions and bankruptcy files.

- Processing applications for licensing of Hazardous Waste Transporters Spill Clean-up Contractors Biomedical Waste Transporters Pesticides applicators and other E-License and E-file functions;
- Processing E-gov application and workflows;
- Responsible for data entry using various software applications;
- Responsible for aggregating data regarding applications processing timeframes and outcomes;
- Participate in division efforts to expand E-Gov functions;
- Liaise with other operating units agencies and stakeholders;
- Respond to inquiries provide technical assistance outreach and education (to the general public businesses government agencies and other stakeholders) regarding E-License E-Gov and licensing subject areas for which incumbent is responsible; and
- Perform other related duties as required.

Five (5) years ofexperience performing technical or complex clerical duties involving the reviewor processing of licenses certifications or permits for a governmentalregulatory agency or in a regulated industry.
NOTE: For state employees this is interpreted at the level of Office Assistant.
- College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) year of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelors degree.
- Successful completion of a Connecticut Careers Trainee program approved by the Department of Administrative Services may be substituted for the General Experience.
- Experience reviewing or processing applications registrations reports or forms for completeness and adherence to statutory regulatory or business requirements;
- Experience in data entry data management reporting and responding to data inquiries using software applications including Site Information Management System (SIMS) Microsoft Excel E-Licensing and Microsoft Suite;
- Experience disseminating public documents and information by electronic means including uploading content to internet websites and managing electronic filings;
- Experience responding to requests for information from internal or external stakeholders including general public businesses environmental professionals or government agencies pertaining to applications permits compliance or business operations activities;
- Experience or knowledge conducting research collecting and organizing data to support program or business needs;
- Experience organizing prioritizing and managing one or more projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines;
- Experience managing documents including maintaining documents in accordance with records retention timelines or organizing document files; and
- Experience in oral and written communication for preparing and presenting findings and recommendations.
