Fresh Tech is a rapidly growing innovative AVL integration company that exists to accelerate every churchs unique mission. We design like insiders because we are insiders building purpose-built audio video and lighting systems for churches across the Northeast US and beyond that grow with each ministry instead of holding it back.

Were looking for a full-time Level 1 Installation Technician who brings real AVL install experience moves fast figures things out and owns their work. Maybe that experience came from another integrator. Maybe youve been running AVL at your church and youre ready to use those skills to advance the mission of other churches. Either way if youve done the work we want to talk.

Youll work alongside our Level 2 Technicians and Site Leads executing installs with skill judgment and pace and youll help train the Entry Level Techs and Apprentices coming up behind you. This role is a launchpad not a ceiling. We have a defined growth path to Level 2 Technician and Site Lead and well support you in pursuing your AVIXA CTS certification along the way.

We are not a hand-holding or micromanaging operation. If you see a better way to do something we want to hear it. We implement good ideas quickly which means we need people who are flexible learn fast and are comfortable with things moving at pace. We work hard and we have a lot of fun doing it.

Most of our work is local to western PA. Some travel is required but were not sending you away from your family for weeks at a time.

What Youll Do

• Install AVL systems in houses of worship and ministry spaces including audio video lighting control and networking infrastructure
  
• Pull dress terminate and label AVL and network cabling to Fresh Tech standards
  
• Mount and install speakers displays lighting fixtures rigging and AV equipment
  
• Read and build from design drawings rack elevations and signal flow diagrams
  
• Build and wire equipment racks in the shop and in the field
  
• Perform system checkout continuity testing and troubleshooting under the direction of the Site Lead
  
• Help with project prep: unboxing burn-in firmware updates labeling and staging
  
• Support on-site and remote service calls for existing client systems
  
• Mentor and support Entry Level Technicians and Apprentices on the job site
  
• Keep job sites clean organized and professional and follow OSHA and Fresh Tech safety standards on every job
  

What Were Looking For

• Prior hands-on AVL installation experience whether with an integrator an in-house church AV team or a comparable environment
  
• Ability to read and work from system drawings rack elevations and design documentation
  
• Working knowledge of signal flow fundamentals (audio video or both)
  
• Strong safe proficiency with hand and power tools
  
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to both quality and pace not one or the other
  
• Takes ownership and follows through; communicates problems early not late
  
• Comfortable on ladders lifts and active construction sites
  
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
  
• Valid drivers license and insurable to drive company vehicles
  
• Alignment with our Core Values
  
• Active involvement in a local church is strongly preferred
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with common AVL platforms such as Q-SYS Dante Crestron ETC or similar
  
• Basic networking knowledge: IP addressing VLANs switches
  
• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I certification (or interest in pursuing it; well support you)
