ABOUT THE TEAM

The Legal Operations team is responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal Department at Anduril and works cross-functionally to streamline workflows automate routine tasks implement best practices and support regulatory compliance efforts. With the overarching aim of supporting the Companys overall strategic goals the Legal Operations team acts as a bridge between legal the Companys business units and outside counsel.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are looking for a Legal Operations Coordinator / Paralegal (non-lawyer position) to join our rapidly growing team in Washington DC. This is a paralegal-focused role providing critical contract and operational support to our business lines Contracts team and Legal Department. You will work independently on contracts-related tasks under the direction of a Contracts Manager or an Attorney supporting the full contract lifecycle from proposal through this fast-paced environment youll work through moderately complex or routine challenges assisting with government contracts (FAR/DFARS) commercial agreements and cross-functional deal support. This role requires strong contract drafting and review skills attention to regulatory compliance and the ability to partner effectively with Contracts Managers program leadership and business stakeholders. WHAT YOULL DO
  • Triage and provide frontline support for contract-related requests from business lines and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain records and documentation such as contracts agreements engagement letters etc.
  • Support Contracts Managers with contract review acceptance and compliance activities for government (CPFF FFP T&M IDIQ) and commercial contracts including pulling data reports and data entry
  • Draft review and redline standard contracts e.g. NDAs teaming agreements cooperative research and development agreements (CRADAs) commercial agreements etc.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive contract documentation including contract summaries modifications compliance records and execution tracking
  • Coordinate contract execution workflows including signature routing document finalization and contract close-out support
  • Maintain CLM system records ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance with document retention requirements
  • Support departmental stakeholders with recurring legal requests
  • Work cross-functionally with Business Lines Supply Chain Compliance and other departments
  • Facilitate and assist in various projects large and small
  • Assist in the development of lightweight workflows to keep the company organized and efficient
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelors degree and/or paralegal certificate
  • Working knowledge of contracts and contract lifecycle managementyou understand contract structures key terms signature blocks compliance obligations and why they matter operationally
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with or willingness to learn productivity tools (e.g. AirTable Slack DocuSign Jira)
  • Familiarity with or willingness to learn contract or matter management systems.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with interest in streamlining processes and creating operational efficiencies
  • The ability to build strong relationships within the team and cross-functionally including Contracts Business Lines Finance Program Management Supply Chain Compliance and more
  • Experience in supporting small and large-scale projects
  • Self-starter who is able to identify areas where they can assist;
  • Willing to wear multiple hats with shifting priorities and work on projects of all types big and small
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
  • A positive team player attitude good judgment and eagerness to help others
  • U.S. Person status required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Passionate about national security and transforming the defense technology landscape
  • Experience at a startup defense contractor or in-house legal team at a high-growth technology company
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government contracting including FAR/DFARS requirements
  • Experience with government contract types (CPFF FFP T&M IDIQ) or Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs)
  • Experience with notarizations and document authentication
  • At least 1 year experience at a nationally recognized law firm or in house strongly preferred

US Salary Range

$86000 - $114000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience education and/or training critical skills and/or business considerations.
