Legal Intake Specialist (Hourly)

Reports to: Lead Intake Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate detail-oriented Legal Intake Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for prospective this critical role you will guide individuals through the initial stages of engaging with our firm-often during difficult or stressful times-while ensuring a smooth and professional intake process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective clients via phone online inquiries and occasional in-person interactions
  • Gather document and summarize key case information using the firms intake and lead tracking systems
  • Screen and qualify incoming leads routing them to the appropriate legal teams
  • Identify urgent matters and escalate appropriately
  • Conduct conflict checks and refer cases externally in accordance with firm policies
  • Perform timely and professional follow-up to maximize lead conversion
  • Maintain accurate organized records of client interactions
  • Provide backup support to the Administrative Assistant as needed

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new systems
  • Sound judgment discretion and initiative
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience in client intake a call center or crisis hotline environment strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds including those who may have experienced trauma or loss
  • Familiarity with personal injury medical malpractice or related legal fields is a plus
