Corporate and Transactions Team - Legal Analyst
Protective Life Corporation has an opening in its Birmingham Alabama corporate office for a legal analyst to join the Legal Department and work with the Corporate and Transactions Team in connection with regulatory and corporate governance matters.

Key Responsibilities
Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings
Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholders
Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees including scheduling meetings preparing agendas coordinating with presenters preparing meeting materials drafting resolutions and drafting meeting minutes
Maintain organized records

Skills Abilities and Knowledge Required
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Careful attention to detail
Highly organized with proven time-management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a highly regulated industry particularly the life insurance industry
Experience supporting corporate governance processes and board operations
Paralegal certification
Bachelors degree in a relevant field

Minimum Requirements
Minimum of three years of corporate paralegal experience
Associates degree and high school diploma or equivalent
