Job Summary

The Department of Family Interiors Nutrition & Apparel at San Francisco State University invites applications for part-time lecturer positions (non-tenure track) in Family & Community Sciences.

This is a continuous recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time temporary assignments on an as-needed basis beginning Fall 2026 & Spring 2027.

The Family Interiors Nutrition & Apparel (FINA) Department has been active in addressing quality of life issues at San Francisco State University for over a century and has firm roots in providing quality education that addresses trends and issues that impact the lives of individuals families and communities. The departments goal is to provide a transformative student experience that advances understanding of contemporary issues that influence food shelter clothing and relationship needs. Implicit within the four FINA programs is a commitment to addressing racial and social justice through curricula self-expression student engagement and example. The core of each of the FINA programs is to encourage critical thought diverse ways of understanding and the development of ethical professional practices which will enhance the quality of life for those who our students will serve.

Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6221 $13224 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6825 $14523 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8593 $15211 per month

Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank.
