Lecturer of Psychology

JOB SUMMARY

Teaches Psychology courses by delivering engaging student-centered instruction aligned with academic standards and course objectives. Provides academic support and guidance to students evaluates student learning through assessments and assignments maintains accurate course records and contributes to a positive learning environment that promotes student success.

MAJOR DUTIES

• Teaches a typical load of 15 semester-hours of undergraduate courses each semester in Psychology in face-to-face hybrid and online formats.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Normal office environment within a university setting providing both in-person and online instruction. Utilizing standard office equipment including computers telephones and email along with technology-based learning materials and learning management systems.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical requirements of the job will consist of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time while instructing and/or engaging in meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Requires a masters degree including 18 hours in Psychology or a related field.
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate level in traditional classroom settings and/or
• A commitment to student engagement and academic
• Ability to communicate effectively and participate in departmental and university activities.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Earned D. from an accredited institution.
• Years of experience: 3 or more years of teaching experience
• Interactively engaging students to develop enhanced critical thinking
