Job Summary

The School of Education of Franklin Pierce University is seeking a part-time instructor to teach our social studies teaching methods course in the fall semester of 2026. The School of Education provides certification pathways in Elementary Education Secondary English Life Science and Social Studies and General Special Education.

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts Business Social Sciences and Education in consultation with Director of the School of Education this part-time faculty member shall teach in-person coursework related to social studies teaching methods and best practices in education. Successful candidate will be expected to utilize the CANVAS LMS system.
Education and Qualifications:
Applicants must be:
  • credentialed or have certification in the social studies content area or have equivalent experience in educator preparation.
  • a Masters degree or higher in Education or a related discipline is preferred.
