Job Summary

MTU Maintenance Fort Worthis part of the worlds largest independent jet engine MRO company based in Germany providing aftermarket and OEM-licensed engine maintenance services a part of MTU Aero Engines with over 90 years of experience in the design development and production of jet engine components modules and engines; MTU Maintenance is a global network of over 7000 employees with over 45 years of experience in the MRO market.

MTU provides maintenance from targeted hospital visits to complete overhauls on over 30 commercial aero engine and industrial gas turbine lines and has completed more than 27000 shop visits for over 270 airline customers worldwide. Within this Global network MTU Maintenance Fort Worth provides hospital shop and on-site maintenance services.

Lean Manager

As a Lean Manager you will work together with our partners in operational and administrative areas to shape the path to operational excellence. You will be a key driver in advancing the Lean mindset at MTU. You will support MTUs operational and administrative functions with pragmatic audience-appropriateconceptsand methodsfromidentifyingimprovement potential through achieving their improvementgoals.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Implement MTU Shop floor and office management in close collaboration with MTUs German Lean teams
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across operational and administrative teamsidentifyingopportunities to improve efficiency effectiveness and overall business performance.
  • Deliver training coaching and hands-on facilitation in Lean leadership process optimization problem-solving and continuous improvement tools.
  • Present insights progress and recommendations to senior leaders and executive stakeholders using data to influence decisions and drive alignment.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to redesign processeseliminatenon-value-added activities andembedsustainable ways of working.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Bachelors degree in industrial engineering business administration industrial engineering and management ora relatedfield.
  • 5 years of experience in a fast-paced cross-functional environment with a strongtrack recordin change management project management and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in Shopfloor Management and KPI Cascading
  • Deepexpertisein Lean Six Sigma process redesign and operational excellence methodologies; PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma Belt preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver effective training sessions and workshops.

  • Advanced communication organizational analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate independently and manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong partnerships across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel PowerPoint Word and Teams along with the presence and credibility to influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
  • Coaching certification or train-the-trainer credentials are preferred.
  • German language proficiency is a plus.
