- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily lesson plans for toddlers
- Foster a safe nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports early childhood development
- Monitor and document each childs developmental milestones and progress
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their childs growth and daily activities
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides
- Ensure classroom compliance with state licensing regulations and childcare safety standards
- Incorporate social-emotional learning language development and sensory play into daily routines
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of toddler developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to meet New Jersey state childcare licensing requirements
- Warm patient and enthusiastic demeanor with a genuine passion for working with young children
