Plans and directs daily programs for children in their assigned group. Consistently provides developmentally appropriate and child centered activities that meet the physical emotional intellectual needs of the children. Functions as a team leader and role model working with assistants and volunteers in the classroom.
REQUIRED
- One (1) year of experience in a structured classroom setting.
- Associates Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education or education related field
OR
- Completion of Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) OR
- Child Development Associate (CDA) AND
- Current enrollment in Associates Bachelors Masters or Doctorate degree in Early Childhood Education or education related field AND completion of degree within two years of hire.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid or must obtain within 90 days of hire.
PREFERRED
- Completion of a Bachelors Masters or Doctorate Degree in Early Childhood Education or an education related field.
- One year of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child development/management techniques appropriate activities for preschool/school age children and related care regulations.
- Must be energetic with an interest in and enjoyment of children.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
