Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking Systems Integration & Test engineers in Rochester NY to work on a dynamic team to develop EO/IR solutions. They will have SI&T Engineering responsibilities consisting of the development integration & test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance. Candidate will work closely with cross functional members of in engineering manufacturing & program management to design develop & build high performance systems.
Essential Functions:
- Develop system integration concepts & test plan approach
- Ensure system requirements are met and evaluate performance measures
- Perform system and subsystem integration technical risk assessment technical planning verification and validation and supportability analyses
- Design develop and release custom test equipment (HW and SW)
- Coordinate with Operations for production STE/ATE requirements automation and user interface
- Develop custom test equipment procedures and instructions
- Manage upgrades to STE for obsolescence / enhancements
- Maintain library of preferred test equipment / components and common architecture standards
- Design Qualification program: plans procedures and test equipment
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering)
- DOORS Jama and Cameo experience
- Software development for test applications (C/C Python LabView etc.)
- System modeling using Matlab/Simulink
- Video transport and encoding (H.264 MISB and SMPTE standards)
- Understanding of defense products for the environments and platforms L3Harris supports
- Ability to effectively plan and organize projects and manage priorities
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities with the ability to resolve conflicting priorities
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role New York state is $110500 - $205500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
