We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME)levelLeadSystems Engineer to plan coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of new systems and technologies. This role provides technical and management leadership on major engineering assignments translating business requirements into technical solutions and driving the implementation of scaled agile methodologies across a System of Systems (SoS). TheLead Systems Engineer owns systems engineering management processes the Integration and Implementation Plan (IIP) and technical integration across stakeholders. Decision-making and domain knowledge may have a critical impact on overall program implementation. May supervise others.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Establish document andmaintainsystems engineering management process documentation including theSEMP Test and Evaluation Management Plans (TEMP) and Concept of Operations
- Create andmaintaintheIntegration and Implementation Plan (IIP) defining major and interim milestones Readiness Review (RR) success criteria and SoS integration narrative
- Support technical integration within all functional areas of Operational Delivery and integrated product teamsin accordance withthe SEMP
- Facilitate and supportTechnical Review Boards (TRBs)asrequired
- Coordinate and oversee technical and business integration activities across stakeholders third-party contractors purpose-built systems and the Business Ecosystem
- Develop document andmaintainIT planning and strategy documents such as theIT Strategy and Roadmap
- Validate systems engineering designs and plans and support the Disposition Management Plan
- Develop and support atechnical onboarding process and training for systems supporting the Program
- Assist Integrated Product Teams OD Teams and system teams in implementingSystem Development Life Cycle (SDLC)tools
- Drive the implementation andutilizationofscaled agilemethodologies across multi-team delivery environments
- Distribute and communicate updates to systems engineering processes and manage the transition to updated processes
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degreein Systems Engineering Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- 15 yearsof experience providing technical and management leadership on major systems engineering assignments (SME level)
Certifications
Desired:
- Cloud certification (AWS / Azure / Google)
- Agile certification (Scrum /SAFe)
- Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP)
Required Skills
- Expert experience in systems engineering management across the full system development and operational lifecycle
- Demonstrated ability to author andmaintainSEMP TEMP IIP and Concept of Operations documentation
- Experience driving technical integration across aSystem of Systems (SoS)with multiple service and solution providers
- Strong background implementingscaled agilemethodologies in large multi-team programs
- ExperiencefacilitatingTechnical Review Boards and engineering governance
Desired Skills
- Experience with large-scale federal modernization or data-centric cloud transformation programs
- Familiarity withDevSecOps cloud-native architecture and SDLC tooling
- Experience with disposition management and operational delivery / readiness reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including executive briefing to senior Government stakeholders
Our estimated salary range for this position is $120000 - $160000 this presented salary range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Offered salary is based on experience geographic location and possibly contractual requirements as appropriate to the role. *Salary could fall outside of this range.
