Job Summary

Job Description Summary
Responsible for leading Supplier Quality & Development activities within the Molecular Imaging & Computed Tomography business segment supporting supplier selection development and monitoring across assigned suppliers and manufacturing sites. This role provides indirect leadership guiding coaching and influencing Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and cross-functional partners to deliver quality compliance and business outcomes.
The role integrates Heartbeat (Lean operating system) principles and leverages data analytics and digital tools to drive decision-making improve supplier performance and standardize execution across the team.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Lead execution of Supplier Quality & Development strategies that support business priorities including New Product Introductions (NPI) product transfers and sustaining quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide indirect leadership across the SQE team setting expectations standardizing best practices and coaching less experienced team members to elevate technical capability and performance
  • Act as a key escalation leader supporting complex supplier quality issues leading root cause investigations and ensuring effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Drive supplier performance improvements across key metrics including DPPM SCAR effectiveness and NPI/Transfer quality readiness
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sourcing Engineering Manufacturing Operations and Product Management to deliver high-quality products with a total cost mindset

Heartbeat & Operational Excellence

  • Embed Heartbeat principles into Supplier Quality operations including SQDC visual management and tiered accountability
  • Lead structured problem-solving using standard methodologies (e.g. CAPA A3) and ensure disciplined execution across supplier issues
  • Drive operational rigor through standard work consistent operating rhythms and transparent performance tracking

Data Analytics & Digital Enablement

  • Lead the use of data analytics and digital tools (e.g. enterprise dashboards SQCS Smartsheet) to monitor supplier performance and identify risks
  • Develop and standardize analytical approaches across the team including:
    • Defect trend analysis and rolling DPPM
    • Pareto analysis and cost of poor quality (CoPQ) insights
    • Early risk identification using leading indicators
  • Translate data into clear actionable insights for both operational teams and business leadership

Compliance & Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Ensure execution of QMS and regulatory requirements associated with Supplier Quality & Development including supplier audits and audit readiness
  • Support internal and external audits and ensure supplier compliance with GE HealthCare and regulatory standards
  • Drive consistency in supplier qualification monitoring and corrective action processes

Continuous Improvement & Process Simplification

  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives including digitization and simplification of Supplier Management processes
  • Standardize tools templates and workflows to improve efficiency scalability and cross-site consistency
  • Promote Lean principles and continuous-improvement mindset across the team

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in engineering Supply Chain Management or technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering Sourcing Manufacturing or Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed cross-functional environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive business decisions
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required

Desired Characteristics
  • Deep expertise in Supplier Quality & Development processes including NPI supplier qualification audits and CAPA
  • Experience implementing Lean / Heartbeat operating systems and driving operational excellence
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g. Excel advanced analytics Power BI JMP or equivalent)
  • Experience in various engineering areas of technology such as but not limited to: Machining Fabrication Plastics/Composites Electronics Computer workstations/servers.
  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen with the ability to connect supplier performance to business outcomes
  • Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and influence change within a complex global organization
