Lead Stockroom

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Lead Stockroom role provides guidance support and motivation to staff manage conflict monitor processes represent their team and trains staff to ensure tasks are being performed accurately.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assists Supervisor with managing guiding coaching and adjusting work flow as needed to accomplish goal.

• Ensures team members are trained and follow safety requirements.

• Ensures team members are trained per their job duties and understand takt time.

• Identifies and helps improve safety quality and delivery opportunities.

• Articulates problems temporary containments gap analysis actions and sustainment through an A3 process.

• Tracks SQDC metrics.

• Travels between plants to deliver parts.

• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Certificate(s) or License(s): Valid Drivers License

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to interact with diverse groups

• Competent in math

• Problem solving skills

• Basic understanding of all department processes.

• Ability to influence and guide outfitters in the organization.

• Ability to pass Motor Vehicle Report

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent travel between plants to deliver parts

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Light lifting under 20 lbs.

• Light carrying under 20 lbs.

• Moderate lifting 21-59 lbs.

• Moderate carrying 21 59 lbs.

• Straight pulling

• Pushing

• Repeated bending

• Reaching over shoulders

• Use of fingers

• Repeated stretching

• Specific visual requirements

• Ability to distinguish basic colors

• Ability to distinguish shades of color

• Hearing (aid permitted)

• Outside and inside

• Dust

• Fumes smoke or gasses

• Solvents (degreasing agents)

• Slippery or uneven walking surfaces

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

• Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
