Lead Special Procedure Radiographer

This is a MAST Union position
This position has a $7500 sign on bonus for eligible external candidates.

How youll contribute
ASpecial Procedure Radiographer who excels in this role:
Reviews patient history and physicians orders. Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.
Monitors patients vital signs. Reports any changes in status as appropriate.
Assists interventionalist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Participates in evaluation and acquisition of new products and supplies. Is considered a superuser of advanced devices and imaging techniques.
Responsible for training of new and existing staff in the department on new equipment and techniques. maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physician.
Plans implements documents and evaluates all aspects of radiation safety and monitoring of radiographic procedural modifications.
Develops and implements yearly education plan for the department staff.
Leads implantation of new procedures and techniques.

MA approved school of Radiologic Technology
ARRT Vascular Intervention Certification
Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
American Registry of Radiologic Technology (Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification)
5 years related clinical experience
