How youll contribute

ASpecial Procedure Radiographer who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physicians orders. Educates patient regarding procedures equipment and exam to ensure patients understanding and cooperation.

• Monitors patients vital signs. Reports any changes in status as appropriate.

• Assists interventionalist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.

• Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

• Troubleshoots resolves and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

• Participates in evaluation and acquisition of new products and supplies. Is considered a superuser of advanced devices and imaging techniques.

• Responsible for training of new and existing staff in the department on new equipment and techniques. maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.

• Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physician.

• Plans implements documents and evaluates all aspects of radiation safety and monitoring of radiographic procedural modifications.

• Develops and implements yearly education plan for the department staff.

• Leads implantation of new procedures and techniques.

What were looking for:

• MA approved school of Radiologic Technology

• ARRT Vascular Intervention Certification

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)

• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (Vascular Interventional Radiology Certification)

• 5 years related clinical experience
