Job Summary
Essential Responsibilities
- Clear concise communication and problem solving
- Experience in all phases of a design project including planning design fabrication testing/qualification and implementation
- Creation of schedules and estimates for projects to drive the Reactor Internals Hardware design and qualification process meeting business and customer needs.
- Oversee project progression adapting and pivoting to achieve project and business objectives.
- Manage and facilitate collaboration with internal and external teams throughout Engineering and Services Business to deliver designs that meet our standards for Nuclear Quality and Safety
- Participate in emergent issue support facilitating solutions to challenging problems with technical understanding and fast-paced evaluate execute output response.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 5 years experience in design projects as project manager project engineer or lead contributor
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Power Generation Industry
Eligibility requirements:
- The preferred work location is the GVH Wilmington NC Headquarters. Will consider those willing to work onsite in our hubs in either Atlanta GA or Greenville SC
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% to domestic and international sites occasionally.
- This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Characteristics
- Demonstrated ability in meeting project budget schedule and quality commitments
- Excellent leadership influencing communication and presentation skills
- Nuclear industry experience understanding of nuclear reactor components and regulations is highly desirable
- Ability to understand and communicate technical content to a wide variety of stakeholders: engineers project managers product managers as well as business and engineering leadership
- Strong project planning scheduling and execution experience as an engineer or engineering team lead
- Ability to successfully lead multi-disciplined teams on first-of-a-kind projects
- P6 Primavera project scheduling tool experience
- Emergent issue leadership response
- Strong technical aptitude in engineering tools such as 3D modeling drafting and Finite Element Analysis
- Ability to obtain consolidate and analyze data against key performance indicators establish potential root causes and implement mitigating solutions
