Job Summary
SUMMARY
The Lead Payroll Specialistis responsible foroverseeing and leading the payroll function toensureaccuratetimely and compliant processing of employee compensation across multiple airport locations. The position manages payroll operations ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations collaborates with HR and Finance and supports reporting audits and system improvementswhilemaintainingthe highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee and lead the payroll team ensuringaccurateandtimelyprocessing of employee payroll.
- Manage and review payroll data including hours worked deductions and overtime calculations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws regulations and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with HR to ensureaccurateemployee records and resolve payroll discrepancies.
- Process payroll for multiple airport locations handling various pay schedules and complexities.
- Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Prepare andsubmitpayroll tax filings and reports to relevant authorities.
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll deductions and tax withholding.
- Work with Finance to ensure proper accounting and reporting of payroll expenses.
- Assistin the implementation and testing of payroll software updates and enhancements.
- Conduct regular audits of payroll records toidentifyand rectify errors or discrepancies.
- Prepare payroll-related reports for management including cost analysis and budget forecasting.
- Administer andmaintainemployee benefits including retirement plans and health insurance.
- Collaborate with IT to streamline and improve payroll systems and processes.
- Provide guidance and training to payroll team members on payroll procedures and compliance.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports related to payroll expenses.
- Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations and ensure compliance.
- Assistin year-end payroll activities including W-2 processing and reporting.
- Participate in internal and external payroll audits and respond to audit inquiries.
- Upholda high levelof confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive payroll data.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving customer service interpersonal and oral communication competencies.
- Ability to apply logic and understanding to carry out instructionsfurnishedin written oral or diagram form.
- Carry out otherduties asassigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 18 years of age or older.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Must be able to read write and speak English.
