Lead, NBY Footwear Color Design Expression Design

As a Lead Footwear Color Designer in Nike By You you will collaborate with the Design Triad consisting of Footwear Design Materials Graphics and Print. Layering in Product Marketing Merchandising Color/Material/Trim Development as well as Tech Development. You will work under the direction of our Director Athlete Promo Footwear CMG Design Expression and be reviewed by other directors from other functions.

• Bachelors degree in Design or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education experience and training.
• At least 5-6 years experience in color design.
• Ability to translate consumer knowledge and insights into product solutions and narratives.
• Understanding of color trends color mixing color compatibility and color placement
• Ability to collaborate with other designers/Design Directors to build palettes and color flow based on category color strategy
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of color technology and how to achieve desired color effects: materials dyes finishes and color achievability
• Ability to build seasonal color concepts
• Knowledge of product design and development process
• Strong Photoshop Illustrator skills
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
• Experienced with presentation programs: Keynote PowerPoint Acrobat etc.
• Ability and passion to mentor and onboard Design teammates
