Job Summary
Join our facilities team as a Maintenance Tech Lead and play a critical role in keeping our healthcare environment safe reliable and fully this hands-on leadership role youll use your technical expertise to maintain facility systems and equipment while guiding and developing a team of maintenance professionals.
Youll be an essential part of creating a safe comfortable environment for patients employees and visitors ensuring maintenance needs are addressed quickly and preventive maintenance is completed consistently and to a high standard.
Lead and support daily maintenance operations including preventive maintenance troubleshooting repairs and general facility maintenance.
Provide hands-on leadership training coaching and mentoring to maintenance technicians.
Help ensure all work is completed safely efficiently and in accordance with facility standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage and prioritize maintenance requests to support uninterrupted facility operations.
Oversee preventive maintenance programs and ensure scheduled activities are completed accurately and on time.
Troubleshoot building systems equipment and facility-related issues and coordinate appropriate repairs.
Help maintain a safe functional and well-maintained healthcare environment for patients staff and visitors.
Support compliance with applicable healthcare life-safety fire and regulatory standards including Joint Commission requirements.
Collaborate with facility leadership and other departments to address operational and maintenance needs.
Provide basic security support when a security officer is unavailable.
Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support facility operations.
Experience in plant engineering facility maintenance or healthcare facilities operations.
Knowledge of maintenance operations within a medical or healthcare facility strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and facility systems.
Familiarity with Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards fire regulations life-safety requirements and healthcare facility regulations.
Broad technical knowledge across multiple plant engineering and environmental services disciplines.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot prioritize and resolve maintenance issues effectively.
Previous experience providing leadership training or mentorship to maintenance staff.
Strong work history demonstrating reliability accountability and professionalism.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment where safety and responsiveness are priorities.

- Perform preventive general and corrective maintenance on facility systems equipment and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely and effective manner.
- Lead train coach and mentor maintenance technicians.
- Help coordinate daily maintenance activities and prioritize work based on facility needs.
- Ensure maintenance work is performed in compliance with applicable safety standards regulations policies and procedures.
- Promote a safe environment of care for patients employees and visitors.
- Assist with maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation.
- Support facility operations and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
- Provide security support in the absence of a security officer.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Education and Training: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Five (5) or more years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. General Maintenance background experience required hospital maintenance experience preferred but not required.
