Lead Line Cook

General Purpose:
A Lead Line Cook supervises kitchen operations ensuring food quality and safety while assisting chefs with preparation menu execution and staff training. They often act as the senior authority on the line during shifts managing station setup inventory and directing lower-level cooks in a fast-paced environment.


Compensation: $22.00 - 25.00 per hour BOE


Essential Duties:

• Prepares sufficient quantities of food product in accordance to production plan or forecast needs.
  
• Utilizes whole foodproductseliminatingany waste.
  
• Maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation standards in assigned areas.
  
• Alerts chef or supervisor of any equipment breakdowns food overages or shortagesin a timely manner.
  
• Requisitions inventory and receive supplies as necessary for daily production.
  
• Ensures proper storage of food items wraps dates and rotates food items.
  
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties asrequired.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Physical Demands:

• Frequently stands uses hands talks hears tastes and smells.
  
• Regularly walks and reaches with hands and arms.
  
• Occasionally sits climbs balances stoops kneels crouches or crawls.
• Regularlylifts upto 50 pounds and occasionallylifts upto 100 pounds.

Environment/Noise:

• Regularly works in extreme heat (non-weather) and near moving mechanical parts.
  
• Occasionally works in extreme cold (non-weather) wet or humid conditions (non-weather) near toxic or caustic chemicals and in outdoor weather.
• Noiselevel is moderate.

Certificates/Licenses:
Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
