Lead Infant Teacher Create a Strong Foundation for Lifelong Learning
The Learning Experience Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing and experienced Lead Infant Teacher to lead our Infant classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting childrens earliest developmental milestones while creating a warm responsive and engaging learning environment.
As the Lead Infant Teacher youll oversee the daily operation of the classroom mentor Assistant Teachers and partner with families to ensure every child receives exceptional care during this important stage of development.
What Youll Do
Lead the daily routines and educational experiences within the Infant classroom
Implement The Learning Experiences proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum through sensory exploration and developmentally appropriate activities
Support infants cognitive language physical and social-emotional growth through responsive caregiving
Supervise and coach Assistant Teachers to maintain a consistent high-quality classroom experience
Maintain individualized feeding diapering sleeping and care schedules
Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and developmental updates
Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health safety and licensing requirements
Maintain a clean organized and welcoming classroom environment
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA required
Previous experience leading an infant classroom preferred
Strong understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills
CPR and First Aid certification preferred
Must meet all applicable New York State and New York City childcare licensing requirements
