Lead HVAC Mechanic

The ideal candidate is a skilled and motivated leader with a strong background in HVAC systems installation maintenance and repair and a demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of HVAC Lead HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for overseeing the installation maintenance and repair of heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across residential commercial and industrial settings in support of our government customer. This role includes managing a team of HVAC technicians coordinating HVAC projects troubleshooting complex system issues and ensuring all work is completed efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes safety regulations and contractual requirements. The Lead HVAC Mechanic plays a key role in ensuring that all HVAC systems operate at peak performance and continue to meet the operational needs of the responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Lead supervise and mentor a team of HVAC technicians providing guidance training and performance oversight to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety and perform the installation maintenance troubleshooting and repair of a wide variety of HVAC systems including heating cooling ventilation and refrigeration and resolve complex HVAC system issues utilizing technical expertise and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions in a timely and manage HVAC projects from initiation through completion ensuring work is performed on schedule within budget and in compliance with all applicable codes and routine preventive maintenance inspections on HVAC systems to identify deficiencies assess system performance and proactively address potential failures before they all HVAC work is performed in compliance with federal state and local safety regulations building codes and environmental as a technical resource and escalation point for HVAC technicians when complex or high-priority issues accurate records of all maintenance activities repairs inspections parts usage and project with the Project Manager building managers and other facility personnel to schedule and execute HVAC work with minimal disruption to building occupants and inventory of HVAC parts equipment and supplies and coordinate procurement as needed to support ongoing and interpret technical drawings blueprints schematics and equipment manuals to support installation and repair team compliance with all safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout (LOTO) quality assurance efforts by inspecting completed work and verifying that all installations and repairs meet applicable standards and customer and Experience:Required:High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited of 5 years of experience in HVAC installation maintenance and repair with demonstrated experience in a lead or supervisory 608 Universal Certification possess current training certifications and annual continuing education certificates in HVAC-related Skills and Competencies:Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems including heating cooling ventilation refrigeration and air distribution systems across residential commercial and industrial ability to lead supervise and coordinate a team of HVAC technicians in a fast-paced facilities in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex HVAC system malfunctions and implementing effective corrective knowledge of applicable federal state and local building codes safety regulations and environmental compliance requirements governing HVAC systems and refrigerant 608 Universal Certification with demonstrated experience in proper refrigerant handling recovery and disposal to read interpret and apply technical drawings blueprints schematics wiring diagrams and equipment performing and overseeing preventive and corrective maintenance programs for HVAC organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects oral and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate with facility managers project managers contractors and government to maintaining a safe work environment including strict adherence to OSHA standards lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE to maintain accurate maintenance logs service records and project Requirement:Active Top Secret/SCI Skills and Competencies:Associates degree or technical certification in HVAC Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field from an accredited American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification in one or more specialty working in a federal government facilities management or operations and maintenance with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and energy management control 10 or OSHA 30 General Industry with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders maintenance activities and parts of energy efficiency and sustainability best practices as they relate to HVAC systems and federal supporting facilities operations under government service contracts or Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
