Lead Equipment Technician Golf Course

Glenview Golf Course located in Cincinnati OH is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Lead Equipment Technician - Golf Course! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. • Maintains a preventive maintenance program on all equipment purchases repair parts and replacement supplies. Places orders for parts and supplies as needed for equipment or service.
• Inspects adjusts diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects in many types of golf course maintenance equipment.
• Performs reel grinding (both spin and relief grinding) bedknife sharpening and mower adjustments for optimal height-of-cut and quality-of-cut standards.
• Performs mower grinding and sharpening general overhaul of motors and reels and installs and adjusts braking systems.
• Performs machining or welding work in making fittings used in the repair of maintenance equipment.
• Manages expenses in the maintenance of the equipment fleet relating to parts purchases inventory levels service work fuel inventories and related items.
• Ensures accurate records are kept of preventive maintenance repairs made and parts ordered.
• Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of light and heavy construction and maintenance equipment and automotive apparatus. Maintains skills in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools and in the making of various types of mechanical repairs.
• Diagnoses mechanical troubles and schedules appropriate preventive maintenance work.
• Works closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents to support daily course setup.
• Organizes and maintains a clean and safe maintenance area.
