Lead Electrical Engineer Input Engineering

Apples Input Devices group is seeking a world-class lead electrical engineer to develop and ship the next generation of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) hardware (e.g. Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard). This is a senior electrical engineer position that entails working with and leading cross-functional teams on the design implementation integration and qualification of Human Interface Devices.

Major responsibilities include: nSchematic capture and managing PCB layout design of the electrical system including power management micro-controller wireless communication sensor integration and component selection. nExecution of the design in high volume including characterization and validation across all development builds. nAuthoring of detailed engineering requirements specifications. nWorking with and managing suppliers/manufacturing partners including overseas build support. nInterface with and present to cross functional leaders for project reviews and discussions.

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or similar disciplinenMinimum of 4 years of industry experiencenStrong EE background in analog digital power and PCB designnHands-on experience in prototype bring-up and debugging functional verification and manufacturing supportnSuccessful track record of working closely with Mechanical Engineering Firmware PCB design and DFMnOutstanding communication and interpersonal skills

6 years of industry experiencenExperience working with sensors (e.g. touch force pressure) wireless communications (bluetooth) low power design haptics and wireless chargingnExperience designing high volume high quality consumer electronic productsnExperience leading a technical teamnMasters or Ph.D preferred in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
