Lead Direct Support Professional In-Home Services

Job Title: In-Home Services Lead Direct Support ProfessionalLocation: Areas across Central MN (including but not limited to the following cities: Buffalo Maple Lake Elk River Big Lake Anoka Andover Champlin Maple Grove Fridley Blaine Spring Lake Park Plymouth)Schedule: Monday-Friday with availability between the hours of 8:00AM and 8:00PM based on the needs of those we serve. Occasional weekend scheduling possible based on the needs of the : $20 per hour including Full Time benefitsJob Summary:As a lead direct support professional you will be a part of helping people work on outcomes/goals to gain independence and lifelong skills. Our ideal candidate must have experience working with intellectual disabilities experience with person centered programming and experience with verbal and physical aggression. This position will be responsible for 40 hours of direct care per addition to direct care this position will also assist in training new staff coverage during management absence and help with emergency client Job Duties:Work on tailored outcomes with each person we support. Outcomes mayinclude:budgeting behavioral management community exploration meal planning organizational skills coping skills and/or physical an active participant with individuals served when working on outcomes and out in the with personal cares as needed per person servedProvide guidance and instructional teaching to persons while building life cleaning cooking to the people living at the homeProvide supervision and transportation in the community on activities using personal vehicle. Be willing to go into persons homes in the community or the other places as the need Qualifications:21 years of age or olderProficient in spoken and written English languageComfortable providing personal cares (including but not limited to: bathroom supports bathing/showering medication administration)Successful clearance of Department of Human Services background checkSuccessful clearance of Motor Vehicle Background Check and acceptable driving record per Company PolicyPreferredExperience:At least 1 year supporting individuals with autism intellectual disabilities and/or mental health diagnosisAt least 1 year working with individuals with verbal and physical aggressionsExperience implementing Emergency Use of Manuel Restraints (applicable at select programs)
