Job Summary

Position Summary

AC Hotel & Moxy Dallas is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Cook to help oversee daily kitchen operations while delivering exceptional food quality and service. The Lead Cook will serve as a key member of the culinary team providing guidance to kitchen staff ensuring adherence to recipes and food safety standards and supporting efficient kitchen execution. This position is ideal for a culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and enjoys leading by example.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and support daily kitchen operations ensuring food is prepared and presented according to established recipes and brand standards.
  • Coordinate food production and workflow to ensure timely service during breakfast lunch dinner and special events.
  • Train mentor and assist cooks and kitchen staff in proper cooking techniques food preparation and kitchen procedures.
  • Set up and maintain workstations with the necessary ingredients equipment and supplies for service.
  • Prepare cook and plate menu items while maintaining consistency quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food quality taste and portion control to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety sanitation and health department regulations.
  • Inspect ingredients and products for freshness and quality and report any concerns to management.
  • Assist with inventory management receiving deliveries stocking and minimizing food waste.
  • Maintain a clean organized and safe kitchen environment at all times.
  • Support the Executive Chef and Food & Beverage leadership team with menu execution special events and operational initiatives.
  • Assist with scheduling shift supervision and kitchen opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team environment focused on excellence and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of culinary experience with previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a hotel restaurant resort or high-volume food service environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques kitchen operations and food safety regulations.
  • Proven ability to lead motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Flexible schedule including mornings evenings weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
