Vitalant is seeking a Lead Registered Nurse dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Lead Registered Nurse is vital. You will play a pivotal role in supporting Vitalants life-saving mission by conducting advanced clinical procedures which encompass therapeutic apheresis procedures including stem cell granulocyte and lymphocyte collections all while operating under the supervision of a licensed physician.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Occasional weekend and holidays
Approximately 20% travel

Salary Range: 91832.04 - 121222.40

• Provide excellent care to our patients.
• Deliver therapeutic interventions or equivalent expertise (such as infusion dialysis or critical care).
• Work autonomously in various clinical settings.
• Coordinate with physicians and nurses from different hospitals for therapeutic treatments.
• Train clinical apheresis staff and assess performance of procedures.
• Utilize your clinical judgment to ensure appropriate and safe apheresis treatments.
• Act as a clinical consultant for patient treatment planning.
• Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelors degree preferred.
• Knowledge of rationale and techniques relating to assigned duties required.
• 2 years of previous hospital experience or related experience required.
• RN license in state of practice required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Valid drivers license required.

Previous dialysis or apheresis experience preferred.

2 years of previous hospital experience (medical/surgical or critical care nursing) or related experience required.

Phlebotomy experience required

Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities autonomously requiring sound clinical judgement and application of advanced clinical knowledge.

Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Must be able to understand follow and give precise written and verbal instructions and perform all activities safely.

Ability to work in a team environment and participate as an active team member.

Able to organize prioritize and execute a variable workload and multiple priorities.

Must be able to work flexible shifts.

Effective oral and written communication skills.
