Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a proactive business-minded employment attorney who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor to employers on complex workplace issues and day-to-day employment matters. This attorney will partner closely with HR professionals in-house counsel and business leaders to provide practical strategic and compliance-focused guidance tailored to each clients unique workforce culture and business objectives.

Qualified candidates will have 36 years of experience counseling California national and multinational employers on a broad range of employment law matters including wage and hour compliance leaves of absence disability accommodations employee relations workforce reductions/restructurings employee discipline and terminations personnel policies employment-related agreements and emerging workplace compliance obligations. Experience with occupational health/safety law compliance and prevailing wage compliance strongly desired/preferred.

Candidates should have substantial experience drafting reviewing and implementing employee handbooks workplace policies employment-related agreements and other compliance-related documents. Experience conducting workplace audits internal investigations management training and risk assessments is strongly preferred.

This role requires the ability to identify legal and operational risks develop practical and legally sound compliance strategies and deliver actionable guidance that aligns with clients business goals. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent judgment strong research and client-service skills and the ability to build lasting relationships with business and HR stakeholders.

Candidates must be licensed and in good standing with the State Bar of California.

Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience location and other job-related factors permitted by law.
