Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:The Maintenance Laser Specialist positionis responsible fortroubleshooting laser machines in the fabrication department.Responsible forsetup programming working with maintenance lead and equipment vendors/techs.Travel for training on new equipment purchases. Train operators on equipment. Work with Supervisor tofigurelabor and processes needed to meet daily production rates. Facilitateset upmaintainspreadsheetsand machine instructions. Training andproficiencyin all auto-nestingprograms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Workingalongside operators to ensure daily rates are met.
Troubleshootingequipment failures
Contactingequipment vendor/techs
Researchingmachine part needs andordering
Equipmenttraining
Safetyand work instructions for operators
ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Degree Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: Specialtraining classes provided by equipment suppliers
Preferred Degree:Trade Tech or Vocational Education
KNOWLEDGESKILLSAND ABILITY:
Proficientonalllaser-basedequipment
Good math skills proficient in Excel & Word
Willing to travel for training on new equipment
Proficient in auto nesting programs
Self-motivated and able to work with vendorsoutfittersandleadershipin a professional manner
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:Occasional travel for company paid training classes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performstasks and duties under direct supervision using well-defined policies and procedures. Work is reviewed bysupervisor. Limitedopportunity existsfor exercising independent judgment and decision making.
