Job Summary
Pronto Staffing is hiring a Laser Operator for a night shift position in a local fabrication facility. This role involves drilling holes and cutting sheet metal using specialized machinery. The right candidate will set up and run equipment safely while checking work for accuracy.
Responsibilities
Set up run and take care of industrial laser cutting machinery
Perform hole drilling and sheet metal cutting tasks safely
Read blueprints and plan out work steps to ensure accurate cuts
Watch the machine closely while it runs to make sure it works right
Complete all work orders correctly and on time
Check materials for issues and report any problems to the supervisor
Keep the work area clean and move to different workstations as needed
Requirements
At least 1 year of experience operating industrial laser equipment
Ability to read and understand blueprints drawings and work orders
Experience using handheld measuring tools and simple math
Experience with specific equipment models like Trumpf 2030 and 3040 is a plus
Ability to work well with minimal supervision
Must speak and understand English
Required safety gear includes steel-toe boots safety glasses and earplugs
Work Environment
Active fabrication and machine shop setting
Standing for long periods during the shift
Bending kneeling and stooping regularly
Lifting up to 100 lbs
Exposure to shop elements like noise dust odors and changing temperatures
