Position Summary:

The Assembler / Large Valve position is responsible for assembling large ball valves ranging from 2 inches to 48 inches. This role requires mechanical aptitude attention to detail and the ability to meet production standards while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assemble large ball valves according to standard methods and operating procedures.
  • Operate various air tools and overhead cranes to handle heavy components.
  • Test valves to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Stamp and assemble nameplates and unit numbers accurately.
  • Secure valves to pallets and prepare for packaging.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
  • Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able tolift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift. Must be able to lift 60 pounds or higher with assistance.
  • Frequenttwisting bending stooping and reachingrequired.
  • Ability tostand for long periodsand perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to operate overhead cranes and forklifts (training provided if needed).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to use air tools and test valves.
  • General knowledge of valve components and assembly processes.
  • Ability to follow instructions and meet production goals.
  • Willingness to change tasks as directed by supervisor.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with precision instruments and ability to read blueprints.
  • Effective communication across departments.
  • High attention to detail and ability to escalate issues.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or machine operation preferred.
