Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician to join the team in Duluth GA.

Work Authorization:
To be considered for the Taylor opportunities candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment including the EFI Nozomi according to job specifications.
• Review work orders and verify stock artwork color requirements and production quantities before beginning each job.
• Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule.
• Monitor print quality throughout production including color consistency registration image quality and overall accuracy against specifications.
• Identify print defects press alarms and mechanical issues and take prompt action to correct problems or involve Maintenance when needed.
• Perform daily startup shutdown routine maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Complete roll or sheet changes while minimizing downtime and material waste.
• Meet established standards for output uptime waste spoilage and quality.
• Maintain accurate production logs quality documentation and equipment maintenance records.
• Coordinate with Prepress Scheduling Maintenance and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production.
• Adhere to all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling.

Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday

You Must Have:

• 2 years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipment
• Previous experience operating a large-format digital press
• Experience with color management registration and print quality inspection
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Ability to read and understand production work orders and technical specifications
• Basic computer skills for production software job tracking and reporting
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departments
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within production deadlines

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting pushing pulling and/or carrying
• Ability to stand for extended periods

We Would Also Prefer:

• Experience with HP Indigo HP PageWide Durst or similar large-format digital printing equipment
• Experience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturing
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or 5S workplace organization
