Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Press / Print Operating Technician to join the team in Duluth GA.
Work Authorization:
To be considered for the Taylor opportunities candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Your Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate large-format digital printing equipment including the EFI Nozomi according to job specifications.
- Review work orders and verify stock artwork color requirements and production quantities before beginning each job.
- Initiate and run jobs according to the production schedule.
- Monitor print quality throughout production including color consistency registration image quality and overall accuracy against specifications.
- Identify print defects press alarms and mechanical issues and take prompt action to correct problems or involve Maintenance when needed.
- Perform daily startup shutdown routine maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures.
- Complete roll or sheet changes while minimizing downtime and material waste.
- Meet established standards for output uptime waste spoilage and quality.
- Maintain accurate production logs quality documentation and equipment maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Prepress Scheduling Maintenance and Finishing to keep jobs moving through production.
- Adhere to all safety procedures including lockout/tagout and proper chemical handling.
Your Shift: 1st Shift; Monday - Friday
You Must Have:
- 2 years of experience operating digital or commercial printing equipment
- Previous experience operating a large-format digital press
- Experience with color management registration and print quality inspection
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Ability to read and understand production work orders and technical specifications
- Basic computer skills for production software job tracking and reporting
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with other departments
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within production deadlines
Requirements Within This Position:
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
- Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
- Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
- Frequently required to move inside the facility
- Regularly move up to 50 pounds by lifting pushing pulling and/or carrying
- Ability to stand for extended periods
We Would Also Prefer:
- Experience with HP Indigo HP PageWide Durst or similar large-format digital printing equipment
- Experience with corrugated packaging or POP display manufacturing
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Six Sigma or 5S workplace organization
